  13. - Limitation:
  14. This is a fully working version of SampleTank able to play only the free
  15. sounds. No sounds are included with this installation. You can download the
  16. instruments available here:

  20. In your SampleTank Instruments folder you'll also find a folder labeled 'XL
  21. Edition Instruments List'. This is only an example of the range of sounds in
  22. the XL version; SampleTank Free cannot play these incomplete instruments.

  24. - System Requirements Macintosh(r):
  25. Minimal: PPC604 200MHz with MacOS 8.5 or later system software, 64 MB RAM.
  26. Screen settings: 640x480, thousands of colors, 30 MB of free hard disk space.
  27. Suggested: Power Macintosh(r) G3/G4 with 128MB RAM, 50 MB of free hard disk
  28. space. ASIO card is recommended for low latency realtime play.

  30. - System Requirements Windows(r):
  31. Minimal: Intel(r) Pentium(r) 200 MHz MMX(tm) with Windows(r) 95, Windows(r) 98,
  32. Winsows(r) ME, Windows(r) NT(tm) 4.0, Windows(r) 2000, 64 MB RAM and
  33. high-quality sound card. Screen settings: 800x600, high colors (16 bit), 30 MB
  34. of free hard disk space. Suggested: Intel(r) Pentium(r) III 500 MHz with 128MB
  35. RAM, 50 MB of free hard disk space. ASIO card is recommended for low latency
  36. realtime play. Optimized for Pentium(r) III.

  38. - MIDI sequencer:
  39. To use SampleTank you need Cubase(r), Logic(tm) Audio or any other Macintosh(r)
  40. or Windows(r) sequencer compatible with VST(r) instruments (Cubase(r) PC version
  41. 3.7.2 or Mac version 4.1.1, or later, Logic(tm) Audio PC and Mac version 4.5, or
  42. later).

  44. - Installation:
  45. The installer tries to locate your VstPlugIns default folder in your system and
  46. asks you to confirm the location where to install SampleTank. You could choose
  47. to install it into the default folder for VST instruments in Cubase(r) or, if
  48. you wish, you could specify a different location. Remember that as a plugin,
  49. SampleTank has to be installed in a VstPlugIns folder or it won't work. In
  50. the destination folder will be created a new folder called IK Multimedia, into
  51. this folder you will find the SampleTank plugin itself and the SampleTank
  52. Instruments folder. You still need to download the free instruments; place them
  53. in the SampleTank Instruments folder.
